I stayed for one night in a comfortable and spacious triple room. The staff were friendly, and the bar had reasonably priced drinks. I was disappointed by the lack of a cooked breakfast option and the noise from the bar late at night, which affected my sleep.

I stayed here recently and loved how close so many charming cafes were, especially the Cafe on the Wolds just less than a 5-minute walk away, making it perfect for my morning coffee before exploring. the welcoming atmosphere and the amazing character of the building greatly added to my experience as I strolled to nearby landmarks like the William Bradley Memorial Statue, only 900 meters away.

The window was propped open with a block of wood, and a strong, unpleasant smell came from the bathroom, which needed deodorizing. the amenities felt outdated, with the room requiring a refresh for the price we paid.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of the town, making it easy to explore. The staff were incredibly accommodating, allowing us an early check-in and providing a complimentary breakfast basket, which was a lovely surprise. The only downside was the distant noise from the bar, but it was manageable and expected for a pub atmosphere.
